ABOUT US

This website is owned by Kajo and Peter Bezemer. We are brothers and we like to photograph in the city Rotterdam. Because there is much to see/do in the city, it brings us a lot of subjects to express ourselfs by photographing.

Below I'm standing on the terras of the Coopvaert.

Our parents did start with all the photographing in Rotterdam.
When we were young we didn't not care about what happened in the city.
But when the years go by we liked to see the old photographs our parents took while walking through the city.

As you can see in the construction chapter, all the photo's are made by our parents. I like to get lost in old photo's of Rotterdam. especially when I recognize certain spots.

We got almost 60.000 digital photo's in 3 years of photographing.
 

Equipment

Peter is using a Canon EOS 350D (8 Mpx) with battery grip and a Tokina AF 12-24mm F/4 AT-X Pro DX lens and a  Canon EF 70-200 F/2.8 IS USM zoom lens.
Flashlight: Canon 420EX flash + diffuser. Special for Panorama photo's Peter is using a Canon G5 and the EOS350D with a Nodal Ninja SP1a panohead.

My journey has started with a HP Photosmart 618, After 2 years I thought 10x zoom of the Minolta Z1 was useful when standing on the roof of a building.
After some time I was impressed by the 8 MegaPixels and 7x optical zoom (200mm) of a Minolta A200. I liked the adjustable display on the G5 which is also on the A200, Flash HS3600.
Today I own a Canon 30D SLR with the speedlite 580EX and a EF 17-85mm F4.0 IS USM and Sigma 8mm F/3.5 EX DG lens.

I hope you got an impression who is behind this website for years now. I can tell you it is a lot of work to edit all the photo's and making the appointments. But we got very nice responses of people all around the world.

I can imagine when you emigrate to Australia and still can follow the moments here in Rotterdam by this website and all other websites naturally.
